Overview
With a history dating back to 1909, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing has an established reputation for excellence in nursing education. The School of Nursing was a leader in drastically altering the nature of nursing education and moving it into institutions of higher learning. Vanderbilt nursing graduates can be found across the nation and in numerous foreign countries. Vanderbilt's Master of Science in Nursing degree programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission and approved by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
Student Appeal
Vanderbilt University offers graduate-level study in Nursing Health Systems Management. The program prepares nurses and other healthcare professionals in establishing or furthering their careers in healthcare. Programs are designed to be completed in about two years. Students can find out if they are eligible for financial aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Funds are generally awarded based on need. Aid comes in the form of grants, loans and scholarships for qualified students.
