Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program
June 30, 2008
By Katherine - San Diego

United Education Institute’s Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program provided me with a new career and a better opportunity for my future. I now work as a chemotherapy technician and know it is difficult knowing the patients I have are fighting cancer, but I try to provide them comfort as well. Making the choice to change careers wasn’t easy, but when I found the program the program at United Education Institute I was intrigued. The certificate program could be completed in 8 months so I could start my new career before the year was out which was exactly what I had hopped for. Instructors I learned from really cared about their students and the progress you were making. Finding instructors like that was surprising, but I knew the level of education I would receive would be enhanced by an environment like that. Career choices are some of the most important you can make in your life, and having the right tools and background are essential to success and I gained that from United Education Institute.

Pharmacy Technician

I loved that I was able to get my certificate in only eight months. The teachers were great. I guess the only negative thing is that the classes are a little hard. But, they have to be so that you can get your certificate quickly and be prepared to be a pharmacy technician. I was prepared for my career and easily obtained a job.

Dental Assisting Certificate

The coursework was a lot of hands on. The teacher would show us how to perform a task, then we would practice with other students and be tested at the end of the week on it. We had a written test every week also that we would study for. It made it pretty easy to learn a little bit at a time.

The teachers were very nice. We did a lot of group work, so I made a lot of friends there. The overall experience was pretty good. There was a lot of flirting with the teachers and the students. I didn't like that part. It did prepare me for a new career!!
