Overview
For more than 50 years, the RETS College in Dayton, Ohio has provided career skills and a job-based education to students. Programs include training in the fields of medicine, technology and business industries. The curriculum for most programs involves classroom training and real-world experiences to help students entering the workforce upon graduation.
Student Appeal
RETS College offers students a variety of career services before and after graduation. Counselors are on site to help students plan their career options and practice the skills that will help them get hired. Interview techniques and resume writing are a among the available student resources that the staff is focused on. A job board is also accessible for the latest availabilities posted by local employers.
Financial
The Financial Aid staff at RETS is available to students interested in assistance paying for tuition. More than 80 percent of the current students receive some type of aid. Federal loans and programs are available as well as private scholarships and grants for qualified students.

This new program is open to qualified Licensed Practical Nurses who wish to continue their education. Students receive a foundation to expand their medical application skills and their career opportunities as well. Qualified candidates have the opportunity to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination to become an RN. - Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
Students in the school's Criminal Justice program explore the current needs of society as they relate to criminal law, courts and security. An emphasis is placed on today's computer technology, communication techniques and other modern issues. Graduates are qualified to find jobs in both the public and private sector in the fields of fraud investigation, correctional program specialist and several others. - Electronics Engineering TechnologyElectronics Engineering Technology
The program for Electronic Engineering Technology focuses on the field of electronics and its current usage and applications. Students receive a strong foundation in theory and practice of electrical engineering. Focus is placed on equipment like microprocessors, radio frequency and other devices. - Heating, Ventilating, A/C & RefrigerationHeating, Ventilating, A/C & Refrigeration
Students in this program receive a foundation based in the modern practices in the heating and cooling industry. Graduates become technicians that apply their skills to help develop and operate air conditioning, heating and ventilating equipment. - Legal AssistingLegal Assisting
This 18-month program offers an Associate degree for students completing the paralegal studies. Experienced attorneys teach the classes and the latest technology practices used in the field are a main focus of the curriculum. - Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
Students in this program recognize the growing need for Medical Assistants in the healthcare profession. Instructors provide a strong foundation in completing medical procedures and administrative duties as well. Graduates of the program work in clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, doctor’s offices and other health-related settings. - Medical CodingMedical Coding
Graduates of this program combine health care and technology in their field of work. Billing and administrative duties are the main focus of the classes, but students also receive hands-on training. - Practical NursingPractical Nursing
Students completing this course are prepared for this ever-changing field. Instructors provide classroom teaching and real-world experiences that focus on clinical laboratory training and patient care. The program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and graduates have the opportunity to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination. - Travel & TourismTravel & Tourism
This program focuses on customer service in the travel and tourism industry. The curriculum is centered around cruises, flights and other forms of travel around the world. The school is a member of the Cruise Lines International Association and is also approved by the Travel Agency Proficiency Travel Institute, a certification that is recognized nationwide.
