Overview
Polytechnic Institute of New York University (formerly Polytechnic University), an affiliate of New York University, is New York's most comprehensive school of engineering, applied sciences, technology and research, and is rooted in Polytechnic's 154-year tradition of innovation, invention and entrepreneurship. The institution is one of the nation's oldest private engineering schools founded in 1854 in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to its main campus at MetroTech Center in Brooklyn, Polytechnic offers programs at sites throughout the region, including Long Island, Manhattan and Westchester.

  This program provides graduate students with the knowledge and training to excel in a wireless communications career working with services such as wireless LAN, wireless local loop, wireless PDA, and the emerging wireless Internet. Those with an EE background receive specialized knowledge they need to work in this expanding market. Students may choose to apply all courses taken toward a certificate toward fulfillment of a degree program.

  Develop processes and background to engage in human-genome and bioscience research studies. Courses include chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and computer science to effectively manipulate data and analyze research.

  Students pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering possess mathematics and science aptitudes and have completed an Engineering Bachelor Degree program. The program emphasizes electronic theory, circuitry, and advanced electronics through research and applied projects. Graduates enter careers in electrical engineering or continue on with Doctorate studies.

  Learn to design and manage large networks through advanced training in wireless networking, cellular communication, WAN and LAN networks, and business networking needs. Students become effective administrators for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governmental offices.
