Overview Heritage Institute and Heritage College campuses are located throughout Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, Florida, Kansas, and Virginia. The school trains adult students for a variety of careers in the medical and healthcare fields. Students are trained to enter the workforce and to pursue their career paths immediately upon graduation. Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees are offered for some of the programs, and there is an online option for the Massage Therapy program.
Student Appeal
Heritage College and Heritage Institute are career colleges with courses that are very specific and are tailored to the exact career the student wants to pursue. Students are able to finish their schooling quickly and enter the workforce as soon as their courses are completed. Student advising and career counseling services are available to all Heritage students to help isolate personal and professional goals. AOS (Associate in Occupational Science) degrees are offered for some of the programs, as well.

CosmetologyCosmetology The Heritage Cosmetology School trains students for careers in hairstyling, shaping, coloring, chemical reformation, make-up, manicures and facials. This program is available at the Manassas, Virginia and Falls Church, Virginia campuses.
EstheticsEsthetics The Heritage Esthetician program trains students to become skin care specialists with expertise in skin care and skin care health. Courses in this program include esthetician techniques and preventative care for the skin. Upon graduation, students will be able to work in salons, day spas and many different retail centers.
Massage TherapistMassage Therapist Massage Therapy students will learn the art of therapeutic massage. Students will take classes to learn about the value massage as a relaxation and medicinal technique. Some of the many topics which are covered include alternative massage therapy training, reflexology training, sports massage and Chinese medicine training. Upon graduation, students will be able to work in a wide variety of settings including cruise ships, fitness centers, hospitals and salons.
Medical AssistantMedical Assistant At the Heritage Medical Assisting School, students will be trained to assists physicians in examining and treating patients with clinical, laboratory and clerical procedures. Upon graduation from this program, students will be employable by hospitals, doctors' offices, clinics, nursing homes, hospices, and rehab centers.
Personal TrainingPersonal Training Students wanting to be personal trainers will take courses about health and fitness as well as courses on how to interact with future personal training clients. Personal trainers advise their clients on how to get the most out of exercise and how to eat to maximize their health and well being. Upon completion of classes, students will be able to work in health clubs, gyms, cruise ships, private practices and many other venues.
Pharmacy TechnicianPharmacy Technician Pharmacy technician students take courses to learn alongside pharmacists, and their job duties include filling prescriptions and advising patients on how to take medication. After students complete this course, they will be able to work in a variety of settings like grocery and drug stores, hospitals and retail stores.
Surgical TechnologistSurgical Technologist This program teaches students to be surgical technologists or "scrub techs." Surgical technologists work in the exciting and intense world of the operating room and work alongside anesthesiologists, nurses and surgeons. Students will get hands-on training on how to prepare the operating room before a surgeon's arrival as well as how to assist the doctor during the actual procedure.
X-Ray Medical TechnicianX-Ray Medical Technician This comprehensive program combines medical assisting education with x-ray medical technician skills. Upon graduation, students will be fully trained as both medical assistants and as x-ray technicians and will be able to work in hospitals, a doctor's office and other locations. Graduates will receive and AOS (Associate in Occupational Science) degree as an x-ray medical technician.

AOS in Massage Therapy (online)AOS in Massage Therapy (online) This distance education program offers students an AOS (Associate in Occupational Studies) degree in Massage Therapy. The majority of classes are taken online, though students must meet once a week for a hands-on massage therapy training session, which is offered at the Kansas City, Missouri and Denver, Colorado locations. Students will be thoroughly trained in the art of therapeutic massage, and upon graduation will be fully employable by locations like day spas, private practices, and cruise ships.
AOS in X-Ray Medical TechnicianAOS in X-Ray Medical Technician Graduates of this program receive an AOS (Associate in Occupational Training) degree as an X-Ray Medical Technician. Students will receive full training as both medical assistants and LSO (Limited Scope Operator). While students will not be trained to be radiologists or radiographers, they will be trained to perform many of the routine x-ray tasks that are common in most medical offices.
