Overview
Star Technical Institute is a private, career-oriented school which offers a range of programs in the medical and business fields. The school caters to students who either want to improve their current career, change their career path or who want to return to work with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. The school has locations in both New Jersey and in Pennsylvania including in Clifton, Egg Harbor, Lakewood, Newark and Philadelphia.
Student Appeal
Both day and evening classes are available and students can complete most of the programs in as few as 12 months. Externships provide students with real-life experience before they graduate. Students benefit from individual attention in the classroom that is combined with group projects. The method of instruction in our technical schools couples individualized instruction with classroom and group interaction.

This program offers students the knowledge and skills they need to look for jobs as medical billers and health claims examiners. Students take courses on a variety of topics including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical billing forms and health claims examining. - Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
This program trains students in both the clinical and administrative procedures utilized by entry-level medical assistants. Students can look forward to entry-level employment in environments including hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices and more. Students master topics vital signs, laboratory procedures, specialty examinations, and various clinical procedures. - Medical BillingMedical Billing
In this program, students take courses on topics medical terminology, anatomy physiology, and medical billing forms. Students also acquire proficiency in the MediSoft computer software program. - Specialized Clinical TechnicianSpecialized Clinical Technician
Students train to become clinical assistants responsible for preparing individuals under the supervision of physicians or other healthcare professionals. - Surgical TechnologySurgical Technology
In this program, students take courses to learn about all aspects of surgery, including, law and ethics surrounding surgery, surgical environment, pharmacology, microbiology, sterilization, aseptic techniques and more.
