Ohio College of Massotherapy

Overview
Founded in 1973, Ohio College of Massotherapy has been teaching massage to students for over 35 years. The school offers classes online as well as through the physical campus located in Akron, Ohio. All students are provided with detailed instruction which allows them to pass the State of Ohio Medical Board exams for licensure. Graduates are prepared to work in a wide variety of settings including massage offices, private practices, nursing homes, health clubs and cruise lines.

With small classes, personalized attention, caring and highly experience instructors, Ohio College of Massotherapy offers students an excellent way to pursue their education and dreams. Students have the option of taking classes online, and they can fit their studies into their busy life and work schedules. And, classes enroll three times per year, so students can begin their studies when it is most convenient for them to do so.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Ohio College of Massotherapy is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT).

Programs Offered:

    Ground Campus

    • Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy Associate of Applied Science in Massage Therapy
      In this program, classes are held for about twelve hours per week for five or six weeks. Students are intensively trained in physiology, massage, medical terminology, psychology, neuromuscular therapy, clinical labs, and can choose from American literature or an Introduction to Western Art, ethics, oral/written communications, and pathophysiology. The degree program takes about twenty-two months to complete, and it offers more advanced topics than the Diploma program.
    • Level One Diploma in Massage Therapy Level One Diploma in Massage Therapy
      For this program, classes are held about ten hours per week for five or six weeks. Among the many topics students receive advanced training in include physiology, massage, medical terminology, psychology, neuromuscular therapy and clinical labs. The Diploma program takes only 47 credit hours to complete, whereas the Degree program requires 67 credit hours to complete.
