Lincoln College of New England

Overview
With two Connecticut locations, Lincoln College of New England offers a variety of career-oriented associate and bachelor degrees in areas including Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Dental Hygiene and Mortuary Science. The school caters to all types of students, including first-time college students and career professionals. Lincoln College of New England commits itself to the idea of creating lifelong learners, and it has created a program called Education For Life to enable graduates to apply their credentials toward continued education.

Student Appeal
Lincoln College of New England offers programs for some of today's most popular and well-paying career paths. In addition to traditional classes, students also have access to a number of internships to provide them with hands-on experience in the real world. As a small college, students can take advantage of smaller class sizes as well as the opportunity to interact with their experienced and knowledgeable professors and instructors. In order to accommodate as many students as possible, the school offers part-time classes, evening classes and accelerated programs.

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Lincoln College of New England is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.

    Associate Degrees

    • BusinessBusiness
      The Business program prepares students for management careers by emphasizing leadership, management strategies, and critical thinking.
    • Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
      This program trains students with the necessary knowledge and skills they need in order to apply for entry-level jobs in the Criminal Justice field. The program's foundation is in the liberal arts and it emphasizes critical thinking, communication skills, and the development of a strong sense of ethics.
    • Dental HygieneDental Hygiene
      The Dental Hygiene program requires students to take courses in subjects including oral pathology, clinical procedures and dental radiology. Graduates will be prepared to work dental hygiene and dental offices, managed care organizations, nursing homes, and more.
    • Health Information TechnologyHealth Information Technology
      This program combines information systems training and health care to prepare students for information security management in hospitals, physician's offices and other medical facilities.
    • Mortuary ScienceMortuary Science
      The main goals of this degree are to prepare students for a career in funeral services as well as to prepare students to sit for the National Board Exam given by the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. Graduates must demonstrate a good sense of ethics, verbal, and communication as well as a commitment to lifelong learning.
    • Occupational Therapy AssistantOccupational Therapy Assistant
      This program leads to certification as an occupational therapy assistant (COTA). Students take courses to achieve knowledge about Occupational Therapy as well as to develop entry-level job skills.
    • ParalegalParalegal
      This program is intended for students who want to help attorneys by performing legal work under the guidance of a practicing attorney. Students take a variety of courses in order to become familiar with the legal system, the basic areas of law, methods of legal research, and writing and legal reasoning. Understanding and critical thinking skills are emphasized in this program.

    Bachelor Degrees

    • Criminal Justice Criminal Justice
      The Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice is a more intensive program than the Associate's, and it takes longer to complete. The degree prepares students for entry-level jobs in the Criminal Justice field. Excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills and a strong sense of ethics are all emphasized.
    • Funeral Service ManagementFuneral Service Management
      In order to enroll in this bachelor program, students have to first graduate from an ABFSE accredited associate degree program and pass the NBE. This program is only intended to meet state and professional needs – it is not accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE). Students cannot sit for the National Board Examination.
