Overview
Draughons Junior College's history can be traced back to 1879. Today, the school offers a variety of Diploma and Associate Degrees in the areas of Business, Information Technology Certification, Healthcare Training and more. The school has campuses througout Kentucky and Tennessee. All programs are career-oriented so that students can move from classes to paying jobs as quickly as possible.

Student Appeal
At Draughons Junior College, students are trained with practical, hands-on courses which help them to secure jobs after graduation. The school offers students four campuses to choose from and over twelve different degrees. The school offers an excellent Career Placement service to help students find jobs after they graduate and on the fast-track option, students can graduate in a matter of months and begin looking for work.

Financial
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Draughons Junior College is a junior college accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).

Programs Offered:

• Accounting TechnologyAccounting Technology
  For this degree, students take courses in Computerized Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Federal income Tax Accounting. Students acquire the fundamentals of business and of accounting.
• Billing and Coding SpecialistBilling and Coding Specialist
  This program can be completed at the degree, diploma and certificate levels. Students take courses in medical terminology, billing and procedural coding. Students can look forward to employment in a variety of places including a physician's office, hospital, insurance company and more.
• BookkeepingBookkeeping
  This program trains students to help businesses handle their financial transactions and record keeping. Students take courses in payroll Accounting, Computerized Accounting and Microsoft Excel. Students can expect to work for either small or large businesses.
• Business Administration TechnologyBusiness Administration Technology
  This Associate Degree program prepares students to work in administrative positions, and it places an emphasis on technology. Students take courses in human resources, business theory, software application and more. Students are also prepared to take certification exams to become Certified Microsoft Office Specialists.
• Business ManagementBusiness Management
  This degree is geared towards students who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs and/or business managers. Students take courses in Business Law, Small Business Management, Supervision and more.
• Cardiographic TechnicianCardiographic Technician
  Graduates of this program are prepared to take the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certified Cardiographic Examination to become a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT).
• Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
  This Associate's Degree prepares students to work in the fields of law enforcement, corrections and juvenile justice. Students also study new and developing technologies in the field.
• Dental AssistingDental Assisting
  This degree is currently only offered at the Tennessee locations. Graduates are prepared to take the Tennessee State Board exams to become a Registered Dental Assistant.
• Internet Website DesignerInternet Website Designer
  This degree is geared towards students who are interested in making websites, and they will be introduced to a large number of different software applications and programs. Graduates of the program will be able to achieve the premier certification in the industry and become Master Site Designers.
• Massage TherapyMassage Therapy
  In this program, students acquire the necessary education and skills needed for a variety of massage therapies including sports, pre-natal, therapeutic, Swedish, hot stone and hydrotherapy massages. Students can earn the diploma in less than a year and can then choose to work as a Massage Therapist.
• Medical Assisting - Administrative TrackMedical Assisting - Administrative Track
  This Associate Degree is a fast-track program which helps students find employment in physicians' offices, hospitals or home healthcare agencies and similar facilities. Students take courses in areas including Office Procedures, Medical terminology and Medical Insurance, with an emphasis being placed on administrative principles.
• Medical Assisting - Clinical TrackMedical Assisting - Clinical Track
  The Clinical Track is similar to the Administrative Track except that less emphasis is placed on administrative principles, and more emphasis is placed on working directly with doctors and other health care professionals as well as with patients. Students take courses in Office Procedures, Medical terminology and Medical Insurance.
• Paralegal StudiesParalegal Studies
  This Associate Degree trains students with the necessary skills they need to prepare legal reports and documents, legal research, drafting letters, legal memoranda and more. Graduates can look for work as legal office assistants or managers and they can work as paralegals in both the public and private sector.
• Pharmacy TechnologyPharmacy Technology
  The Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology trains students to work behind the scenes to make sure that people stay healthy. Graduates can find employment as Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants. Students take a variety of courses in areas including Microbiology, Prescription and over-the-counter medications and more.
