The Public Health department includes a 15-course program designed to challenge students while instilling quality educational fundamentals to every student. - Master of Health EducationMaster of Health Education
Qualified trained teachers, mentors, clinicians, and leaders benefit from specialized education in Leadership, Research, Teaching, Medical Education, and Student-Directed programs. The program is 56-credit-hours and includes a four day residency. - Master of Science in Human MovementMaster of Science in Human Movement
This 15-course, 42-quarter-hour Human Movement (M.S.) is designed to aid students in the development of comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design. Graduates of the program will receive the highest quality education in human movement, performance enhancement, and corrective exercise through a flexible distance education format that enables healthcare providers to gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide leadership in advanced human movement services. There are two concentration areas to choose from: Sports Conditioning and Geriatric Exercise Science. ATSU has partnered with the National Academy of Sports Medicine® (NASM®) in developing the Human Movement (M.S.) program.

The Doctor of Health Sciences Program (D.H.Sc.) is a post-professional degree for master's prepared health care professionals. This advanced degree will prepare graduate students to better understand and effectively manage the access, cost, and quality in healthcare. Graduates of this program are able to analyze, plan, implement and evaluate proposed solutions to healthcare challenges. The D.H.Sc. program addresses the need for well-trained healthcare administrators, educators, clinicians, and researchers. Current healthcare professionals gain the knowledge and skills to excel in project management, decision-making, managing organizational behavior, setting standards based on the evidence, and gaining the competence to apply research to their professional practice.
NOTE: Students must possess a Master's degree and a 3.0 GPA. - Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy**Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy**
This program is designed for practicing physical therapists already possessing a bachelors or masters degree who wish to enhance their skills and professional status. All curricula include pharmacology, radiology, evidence-based practice, wellness, and gender healthcare. Programs are also available for non-U.S. trained physical therapists seeking the D.P.T. or initial licensure.
