Ok so after reading alot of the reviews and doing some extensive research I believe that Lincoln Tech ended up being a perfect match. Lincoln Tech is a CAREER institute and being that they prepare the students for Careers. They have a variety of programs and are to me a very good school. Although I am currently taking the Nursing program I believe that they are gearing me in the right direction. I have attended a Community College and was interested in the Nursing Degree but it is highly competitive at many schools.

The requirements for alot of Colleges are ridiculous in my eyes. They ask for alot and cannot even guarantee a spot upon complete of the pre-reqs. Going to a normal college you can bet you will be waiting at least 2-3 years before finally getting a seat in the AS Nursing degree program. At Lincoln Tech I was able to test in taking the TEAS examination and was able to get started right away. I will recommend doing your research.

After completing my degree Lincoln Tech credits will not transfer to a RN to BSN but there are options to test out of the General Education credits at many Universities. I will be able to graduate as a ADN and take the NCLEX upon passing the NCLEX i will be able to then transfer to a College and continue on to get a BSN. "Once your a nurse, we cannot strip you of that License" this coming from a University in New Jersey.

All I will have to do is either - a) transfer into the BSN program and take a Credit Exam which will test me out of the General Education courses (i.e. English , College Algebra, A&P I & II, etc..) or b) retake the Gen Ed courses at the transferring college. In my eyes I will be a Registered Nurse and later on only worry about testing out of the Credit Gen Ed courses. So Lincoln Tech not only allows me to get my degree faster but also prepare me for the real world high demand health care field.

Lincoln tech in queens n.y. was a good school when I enrolled.it was supposed to be the flagship school with standards.that lasted a few months when they dropped the passing requirements on the admission test to a number anyone with a pulse could pass.student drug use was ignored.students were soon allowed to take days off and do make up time.some months 10 to 15 percent of the students would be making up anywhere from one to three days.god forbid if an instructor tried to instill some discipline the director of education would side with the student.

There were times when an instructor would be pressured to give a passing grade to a undeserving student, and many times the students grade was changed anyway without the instructors knowledge.as for career assisistance .the person in charge of getting students placed in jobs would make up jobs and inflate the schools placement numbers to make herself and the school look better.

If you want to go to school where you will graduate no matter if you pass your classes or not Lincoln tech queens might be ths school for you.

Please do not choose LTI as your school. I enrolled in 2011 with a finish date of 2012 at the Fern Park location. My externship was to begin in Sept. 2012. 7 months later, I finally left the program. The director of the program or whoever is responsible for setting this up never procured an external site for us.

Then there was talk of sending us to Kissimmee (which is quite a distance for some of us), even to Tampa. We had days without a teacher (sometimes even a week or more). The class before us had 1 whole quarter in general surgery with no instructor. Some of my classmates have finally been able to complete their requirements to sit for their certification exams 4 months after their intended completion date.

This school does not care about their students as long as they get their money. Our school director nor the Dean of Students never at any time came to our classroom and addressed the situation. We were told that during out 12 weeks of externship that we still had to be in class every day even though we would not be going to the OR. It would still count towards our clinical hours, however 3 months later they informed us that that time would no longer be credited to us, and we would have to make it up.

They take in new students every 6 weeks and are still currently struggling to find externship sites. This was the worst experience of my life and many of my classmates agree.

This school is a waste of time and money. all they care about is money... i'm at the Allentown, Pa location as we speak. I started in March 2012. I was supposed to finish October 2012 and og on externship and graduate in December 2012 but when i was in IT105 my teacher "never got" any of my assignments that were sent online and i failed the class and had to take it over. The teachers are so rude and inconciderate, they have no remorse over us.

My MCB100 teaacher was so mean and rude, she took off points for every little thing, if our phones were on the table, if i wore a headband, if we walked in 5 seconds late from break, if we had a bag from mcdonald's, etc... last wednesday i had pain in my mouth becuase my wisdom tooth is impacted and i really felt like crap and she took off 5 points for "lack of motivation"... SERIOUSLY?! -_- oh and let me not forget the advisors, one is a CREEP and the other a FAKE, before i started she acted so concerned about me and my furture and after i started she walks right by me as if i wasn't there, i try to make eye contact but she just wobbles on by. NOTHING PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THIS SCHOOL. as the saying goes, "lead by example" right? no, they go by "DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO" forget that! 17 days left in this place and counting. i'm so ready to be done! i don't even know when i'm graduating!!

LTI was the biggest scam and ranks as as one of my biggest regrets in my life. I don't even know where to start but I will with the recruiting process. This process is all smoke and mirrors. I was in the Auto Mechanic program and they sell a high tech state of the art auto mechanic facility when in reality they do not even have cars for you to work on. If students didn't bring in their own cars to fix we would get 0 real mechanic experience just book work which as you can imagine is no real help without getting your hands dirty. Then the loans they provide are parasitic in nature. they are just tried to get paid through federal programs. They represent everything that is wrong with the education system. It is just a money grab for them.

10% of teachers are good and actually care. 10% just make up numbers. 80% are incompetent and completely below standards of what can be expected from a teacher. All of these guys are former mechanics (which should be a good thing in theory) but have ZERO skills yo teach or deal with young adults and are just making things worse. This has already been a long post so I will end with this. They boast of a high placement rate but out of the 8 people that I have actually kept in touch with from LTI only 1 person is working as a mechanic!!!!!!

Its not like we are crazy hood good for nothings. Most of us either went back to college or are doing something productive with our lives. This school is a SCAM SCAM SCAM. I cannot stress that enough. Avoid it like the plague and do yourself that favor.

I'm a student at the fern park campus and I'm, completely shocked at what I'm reading. Everyone that attends knows the semesters are only 6 weeks long so you have to study, study, study. I study about 8 hours a day and that's no joke but you seriously have to be 100% dedicated.

The school, administration, and the staff is amazing here. They will find you a job, most people are hired right from their externships. This Lincoln tech i know for a fact the hospitals and clinics fight over the students. Sorry for everyone and other campuses cause i cant speak for them.

This isn't even a school. It's completely worthless. They are crooked in how they sign people up through the loan process. They don't tell you when getting your loans approved that it's from 5 or 6 different institutions, and when you are graduated, looking for a job and your first payment comes in after 6 months, you realize very quickly it's not just one payment.

I am making 6 separate $50 payments monthly which amounts to $300. I am trying to find out if there is any government department that can be informed of LTI's poor loan practices and low standards of education. It is a government backed school and I would hope that if the students are not graduating from this school with jobs, and instead they are going further into debt, the government may demand that they tighten their practices.

This school is terrible. I regret ever going there and wasting my money. I go to the Hamden campus and so far have had 3 teachers. This last one doesn't know what she's doing. We take notes one day and test the next. How are we supposed to retain anything? When you ask for help you get yelled at. You go to the higher hos and get a response of you don't like it leave! What the hell is that??? They are quick to take your money, but when you need their help they kick you in the butt. I would never recommend this school to anyone.

I'm stuck here because I'm almost done and if I leave I still have to oat for my student loan. Just do your research before going to a trade school. I don't know about the others but this one is a definite no. The students complain about the teachers and no one cares, half the teachers aren't even qualified to have the positions that they do!

a quarter of the time in class was spent taking smoke breaks. The teachers only teached out of a hundred dollar textbook, we were there for 9 months and spent 20k. Of that they screwed up on some kind of paperwork in the main office and is still annoying me even to this day when i have both nelnet loans paid off from 6 years ago.

Overall you are better off to go on an apprenticeship than spend 20,000$ here and leave in 9 months with a worthless certificate which companies laugh at. if i could go back in time i would have bought the 100$ textbook and set fire to 20,000$ than give this school 1 penny more.
