I'm amazed at all the negativity. I enjoyed my experience at Fortis in Erie. The instructors were awesome, although they had to teach some truely rotten people. Some students are there only for the stipend. They don't show up and when they do they are the first to complain.

School is a place to learn, not play around with your friends. Obviously, a lot of people who have reviewed the school expected to have a lot of hand holding and accomplices in their excuse making. No wonder you don't have a job! Take responsibility for yourself kiddies. I had a great time and still keep in contact with some of my instructors. It has helped me network and I have a fantastic job as well.

Please avoid this school by all means! Very unprofessional staff. They tell you things about the school that are complete lies. The computers and mostly all of the equipment is outdated and when you do get a chance to use them you only get 2 chances.

They want your money and they don't even help you find a job, they are full of it! I can't even get ahold of the person who is in charge of the certification tests after a week of leaving messages. They take your money and your screwed after that. Don't go to any tech schools!

I am in my fourth module as a medical asstitant student and plan on furthering my education in Pensacola in the nursing program. But I have had the best learning experience the instructors I have at night are VERY knowledgable in their field. We have had subs come in and they are just as knowledgable. Took many years to make this career change and so HAPPY that I chose Fortis College. I LOVE IT AND WOULD NEVER CHANGE IT.

My daughter also went and graduated already and she now works at Sacred Heart in Pensacola in the OB/GYN and she would tell you the same she would not change her experience at Fortis College. FORTIS COLLEGE IN FOLEY AL YOU GUYS ROCK!!! ECSPECIALLY THE NIGHT INSTRUCTORS YOU TWO ARE THE BOMB.

I stumbled across the current 23% "Recommend" percentage and decided to add my insight as a former Campus President. Before I continue, I should add that I am no longer employed by Fortis College and will in no way receive any benefit from sharing my thoughts. Out of all the career schools I have served, Fortis stands far atop the rest. This organization spends countless hours and dollars trying to provide its students the best education possible. It holds every employee accountable and truly adopts a student-first attitude (trust me - I've been on over 100 conference calls).

I have personally witnessed the executive leadership having the option to seriously increase tuition but decided it would be too much of a burden on the student. What other company would not opt to make more money even though it freely could have? I gave Fortis College an excellent rating because it simply deserves one. Those of you who rated Fortis College low should truly reconsider your evaluation. For any students considering attending Fortis - go and enjoy yourself. I am absolutely sure that if you hold you up your end of the bargain they will do the same. You will definitely be well prepared for the workforce!

I'm currently attending Fortis in Grand Prairie. Must say very disappointed in the education program! Teachers are not of educated quality!! Their equipment never works! they charge you for books you never even use! Dont have enough staff! The Director of this school Will is one shady individual he runs the school as if he is buying and selling cars! These people DO NOT care about your education they just want your money!!! If you are looking into Fortis PLEASE think twice this school sucks!!!!! this coming from a current student....

Fortis sucks. they dont care about their students. one whole month my classmates and i didnt have a teacher at all, because fortis "made changes". well as a result of those "changes" we recieved a crappy sub who didnt give our work to the actually teacher.

Everyone got a 0 for that class. the sub was lazy and never did anything, she really should be fired. im not spending my money on rediculous crap like this. if i knew now what i didnt know then, i would have never signed on with fortis! Its completely a waste of money. i graduate this year and i have put up with so much going here. i just want it to end.

I've read a lot of bad reviews for Fortis College, but most of them don't tell you which location they are talking about. I am thinking about going to the medical assistant program in Smyrna, GA. I know some people that went there a couple of years ago, and they thought it was good. But they said there were a lot of people let go, and that things changed a lot from when they went there (program got shorter, classes got bigger) so they weren't sure if it is a good place for me. Does anyone know about this one?

I love going to Fortis. Im in the nursing program and have not had any problems. This school has a 96% pass rate on the nclex exam for students taking it for the first time. The teachers are always available for extra help and they want there students to succeed!!

This school sucks so bad it makes me cry! They said in the begininng they would help me find a job but they havent! They dont care! I just wana cry cause Im about to be homeless cuz I have no job with a child and I gave up my old job just to go to school at Fortis College. Thanks Fortis College, you just made someone homeless!

Fortis is a waste of time, money, and effort. First off they give you this crappy tour around the school demonstrating these outdated equipments they have & how they experience will be great "Total lie". then they will tell you about the programs they are offering but at the same time they will try to steer you into the program that they can cash in from you.

Financial aid office will try to get you to get a loan not worth taking for. The teachers are not equip for the course they provide the same old teacher for every course...GOT TO BE KIDDING ME RIGHT?... Nope. RUN as fast as possible. They do not restock on materials that the students need to help give a better learning experience.

The course work has to be given within a slim time frame which is unreasonable. Teachers are always quitting b/c they know what the staffs in the school are doing is illegal. Half of the teachers in the school aren't really qualified to be teaching ...to be truthful I don't believe they even have a degree to be teaching at the school at all. That school is a BIG JOKE! If you want to test the waters go and register and make sure you dis-enroll within 3 days or you will be screwed for the entire course period.
