you teach yourself. the teachers all hate the school the staff are okay but they dont push for change. they let the school go down the drain while they waste your hard earned cash on stupid little meetings parties and promotional perks instead of working on education. ITS A WASTE OF TIME. WERE DEBATING TAKING THEM TO COURT FOR FALSE ADVERTISING. i have yet to get ANY certifications and im three weeks from graduating. its not worth it.
PLEASE don't waiste your time

Everest is not a good school,I am attending the atlanta campus for the medical asissting program and this school fires good teachers left and right and hires these fake ghetto tatoo on the arms type teachers, those are NOT good professional examples.not to mention, the students have no manners most of them seem like they came straight out of high school and GHETTO.the student advisors don't stay on there job with your grades,if you ttry to let them know your a student going through serious hardships they don't care you can have a life threatening illness and need time off school even with a doctors note, they don't care as long as you come to school and sign the roll so they get there money for you coming to school, they rush through these monthly lessons called Modules(Mods) the rush through each text book and throw test at you once or twice a week, you actually don't get time to intake it all,its like you learn it just to past that mod that's it.senior check offs are the worst they don't prepare you for it the atlanta decatur campus is ghetto a lot of the teachers have atittude and the MA's have a bad rep.I really wish I had someone let me know this info before I signed on the dotted line, now im in debit, the school is just confusion to be honest

I am in the Pharm. Tech. program here in MI and can't believe what I'm reading. Everest has and is preparing me to work in every kind of Pharmacy. My instructor has 12+ yrs in the field, and still manages to work once a week to this day. She was also named Best Pharmacy Tech within her Facility, which is Henry Ford Hospital main campus. Her knowledge and expirience in the field are all mine for the taking. I dream of questions to ask. I am an Ambassador and have been on the Presidents list since my first MOD. Believe me this was and still is a challenge.I also Homeschool my 15 yo son. Studying is a must. There are no if's and's or but's about it. There are nights when I fall asleep studying. I do this because I want to know my field inside and out. You cant excpect to enroll in an accelerated course and breeze by. It doesn't work that way, LIFE doesn't work like that. I researched my field, the school, and my instructor before I enrolled. This isn't high school. If what you want is an education by expirienced knowledgable instructors Everest is for you. Everyone isnt cut out for this type of eductional structure. By this I mean one that requires you to multi task, take intitiative, and except nothing less than Excellence. If it wasn't for you, it's because you weren't FOR yourself. You have to want it! Want it bad enought to stay at home and study when everyone wants you to do anything but. Enough to get up an extra hour early so you can study because this might be the only time you can get the silence you need to do so. The school has everything you need to become the top in your field. What you do with it is solely up to you. If your the type to drop out,Everest isnt for you. If your just going to make whomever shut up,Everest isnt for you. If you think you'll be able to cheat your way through Everest isn't for you. If you are inflexible, Everest isn't for you. If you hate tests, Everest definatly isn't for you. We have a test every Monday and Thursday, and finals once a month. I strongly recommend Everest if what you want is to change your life because it's already changing mine. Not for the better but for the Best!

I've read every one of these reviews and am honestly shocked that there are so few recommending the school. Then I remember all those people who dropped out of class half-way through their first month. I personally believe you need to do your fare share of research on the school you are going and more importantly which field. I chose medical assisting because right now, the medical field is BOOMING anywhere you go! I attend the Kalamazoo Institute in Michigan and I couldn't have made a better choice. I have an amazing teacher who knows her stuff and genuinely look forward to going to school. I put forth the time and effort though! This crap about this person with a gpa of 3.5 is crap, everest doesn't do their gpa's like that. The crap about having unqualified teachers, is just that, more crap! If you look at a job add for everest it says that you must have 3 years experience in the field! On to MY experience at everest. Have I seen trashy people who have no business there? ABSOLUTELY! Are the majority of students foul mouthed, inappropriate and unprofessional? ABSOLUTELY! However, it is all about YOUR willingness. If you give up half way into your first mod you have NOBODY to blame but yourself! If YOU put the effort into learning what is in your text books and STUDYING the appropriate material then you WILL go somewhere. I am in my 6th mod, I am an ambassador, and I have a wonderful class of peers who all look forward to going to class and learning. Its how YOU make it.

I started attending Everest for Dental Assisting in July 2009. I really was excited when I went in, took a tour, and got signed up. Wow, did that take a turn for the worst. I was there for a month (I think I gave it a fair chance, and a fair amount of loan money..) and for the majority of class I sat. Yes, simply sat there. I finished my work within an hour of getting there and the teacher barely was in the room - unless there was a hands-on activity. I felt cheated and lied, and I made the decision to withdraw and pay the $2,500 to get out of there. I'm now attending a REAL college and am much better off. Please reconsider before going to this school.

I was a student at Everest in Gahanna Ohio for MA, I was also 5 months pregnant. Through the course I had to leave twice because of complications with my pregnancy. I had a 3.4, went everyday, did all of my work and was very excited to graduate and stat my career, however they had a different plan in mind. When I tried to return to school they would not allow to come back at all. They said I with-drew too many times!!!! I was about sick to my stomach, because they still want me to pay for my schooling!! Please do yourself a favor and do research on fly by night schools. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Good Luck out there!

I would like to start off saying that everyone that has written horrible reviews about Everest probably did not try very hard there! I have a week left starting today, and I already have my externship set up and a future job. SO that says something about the school. Secondly if you are writting bad reviews have you looked at yourself in the mirror? Do you have visible tattoos? Do you take care of yourself? You have to remember that you are working in the medical field if you do not look professional or speak correctly then your never gonna get hired! All of you are talking about the instructors well I would like to know what schools that you guys are going to?? Everest Institute has one of the best teaching staff there is! All of the teachers are way over qualified for the job! I have friends in almost every field there and i have not heard one bad thing about and of the staff. So if your going to talk negativly about programs and schools make sure that you state which ones, Because not every school is the same! I am so happy that I put my money into Everest because if i didnt I would not be where I am today!!!!

This so called school is a joke!!! I was told that I can change programs without a problem to just find out it was a lie. After they told me it would not be any kind of problem I come to find out there is a gap in the loans and that I have to pay almost $4000.00 before I can even sit in class. Who can come up with that kind of money? Then later I come to find out I have to pay $5500.00 for a only a month and a half of classes that I attented. Please save your money and go to a college that is worth. They told the credits there can be tranfered to other colleges to just find out they are not. Please like I said save your money and time!!!

Hello everyone. This school is a very bad choice. I did attend the school for pharmacy. The people writing these great reviews keep saying that we have these problems because we DIDN'T come to class. I never missed any class, but felt like I was in high school while I was there. The point I am making is that I worked very hard and did NOT have 2. People that NEVER came GRADUATED. There are some very unqualified people out there with these diplomas. Be careful! Don't waste time or money.

I would like to say that i made a bad choice in picking Everest. I wasn't your typical "ghetto" student who never came to class or did anything. My attendance was great i always did the lab time and try to learn as much possible. I got straight A's. It was very hard to learn because the students in my class acted like animals and were very disrupting. The teacher was ok but not the greatest she has a good heart but could have been a better insructor.
I was mislead by my admission rep saying that i would be a CDA when in reality you are paying 15,000 dollars for a diploma. Also, i was informed that in a few years i could take the RDA exam. Everest institute graduates are not eligible in Michigan to take the RDA exam unless you go to an accredited program by the ADA. Everest is not accredited by the ADA. I was tole that career services will place you on an extern $500 dollars of your money is going to that but they don't help you at all. I had to find one on my own. I hope this will help someone out. Please don't be stupid like me save your time and your money. Go somewhere else.

I started out ready to work, and put the play to the side. Overall my teachers were GREAT, but these people writting these reviews must remember it is what they make out of it. If you know that you are not going to put your all into it dont do it. Perhaps if anyone reads my review then let me say this: NOTICE- they are all MEDICAL ASSISTANT STUDENTS.
I went for Dialysis Technician which is a great program. I am a true observer and honestly if you look at some of the students that were taking up the MA course there was nothing that said I am ready to be a professional or I am ready to work. THE HAIR COLORS, THE VISIBLE TATTOOS ON THE NECK. I ask myself do I really want to walk into a doctors office see these people, and want them to check my childs temp. NOOOOOO!!!!!! Perhaps the true reason they have not found a job is because they refuse to CHANGE. I look at Everest as a school that gives EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO EVERYONE. They dont judge by what you did thus far, but they look at what a person is capable of.

I WENT TO THIS SCHOOL AND WAS ON THE PRESIDENTS LIST BECAUSE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SHOW UP AND YOU GET AN A. I WAS TAUGHT PATHOLOGY FOR THREE DAYS AND PASSED THE COURSE WITHOUT ANY TESTS WHAT SO EVER. I WASTED FIFTEEN THOUSAND AND WISHED I DID MY RESEARCH AND THE WHOLE TEACHERS HAVE EXPIERENCE SHURE THEY DO MY TEACHER WAS 18 HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN HER SO CALLED 3 YEARS OF EXPIERENCE. THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT WRITE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FACULTY WHO ARE PRETENDING TO BE STUDENTS MY TEACHER TALKED ABOUT HAVING SEX WITH MULTIPLE PARTNERS ON HER CELL PHONE ON A DAILY BASIS. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH GO TO THE SCHOOL AND WHEN CLASS IS OVER TALK TO THE STUDENTS PERSONALLY THEY WILL TELL YOU LIKE IT IS BUT ONLY WITHOUT THE PRESENCE OF A STAFF MEMBER. GOOD LUCK AND IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GO AHEAD AND SIGN UP THEY WILL SUCK YOU DRY

Please do not go to this school. First of all the cost is $14,000. They stick you in a class with students who are more advance and they do not want to help you. It is very discouraging. The students are the one doing the teaching. They have nasty attitudes. They call and call you every day until you sign on the dotted line. This school should be shut down.

Honestly when I read these reviews, they make me laugh. Everest is a terrific school. I can guarantee there is whole other side to these negative stories. You should probably get your facts straight before you start talking negatively. There isn't a single teacher here that isn't qualified. They have to have 3 years plus experience as an LPN or RN to be a MA instructor. Also, the school does not cost $25,000.00. What i have to say to those of you who have something bad to say is apparently you are not coming to class. It's easy to point the finger at someone else when you need a reason to account for why you aren't successful here. You have to show up and keep up with your homework. The teachers will do everything to help you be successful. Good luck finding that elsewhere. Why don't you try OSU. Let's see if they give a darn if you show up. Teachers at Everest actually do care.

When I went to this school I paid 10,500 in 2005 and later I found out that was a bad choice. But 15,000 in today's day is just too much to pay. With 15,000 you can finish a nursing program. The school was bad. I had colleagues in my class who didn't know basic math or read basic English.
The teacher was narcissistic and she was always busy talking about her family and her body. We could see that she was a ghetto woman who was trying to act like a lady. She was just horrible. She had her favorites and she hated immigrants.
I was lucky to get a job after I finished school. I started with 8.50/hr. How can you make a living with that? I spent 10,500 just to get 8.50/hr. You can make this kind of money without going through all the crap that I went through. Thank GOD that I could go to college and be on my way to a nursing degree.

I am recently in the medical assisting program at Everest Institute and this so called school is the worst choice i have ever made. I paid 15,000 to go here and it is just horrible!
The teachers do not give a crap about you, or help you learn. My teacher graduated from Everest in 2006 and has never had a MA job, she is not even supposed to be teaching, but she is. She talks crap about students, swears, talks about drugs and soo much more.
I hope everyone does their research, unlike me, before you drop 15 grand on this bull crap school.

I went to school. And entered the massage program. the Teachers were not good they did not help you prepare for the state boards.and half the students that go in to take the state boards fail.So you spend all that money learning. And than go take the State boards fail it. you are out of luck because you cannot work in that field. So What do you do. I think you should be able to work in some aspect of the profession. This school is not worth looking at.

I went to Georgia Medical Institute which is now Everest Institute. I was lucky enough to have a fabulous teacher and that was the only reason I am a good massage therapist. The school is absolutely horrible and they abuse their teachers in that the teachers are reprimanded and/or fired if they lose students. Some students are not intellectually equipped to be in the medical field with all the latin verbage and other things that must be learned in order to pass the certification tests. Anyone can get into the school because the entrance exam has questions like, "what is 9 + 3?" and "what is this a picture of, a cat, bird, dog or squirrel." Once you are in the school, if you can't keep up, the entire class is slowed down to wait for the person or people who are having trouble. Please find other reviews online about this school before wasting your money on the tuition.
