"Education is what you make of it"... "easy way out"..."not good with attendance"..."not working hard"..
STOP WITH THE ASSUMPTIONS!
I went to The Chubb Institute everyday that was required; in fact, I received an attendance award several times. I received an "A" in every class I attended. I worked full time and still went to school three nights a week.
I'm pointing my finger at the staff at The Chubb Institute because during my two years of "instruction" one teacher was fired, one quit, one watched movies instead of helping us, and one told us to "play with" Photoshop because "that's the best way to learn".
I'm glad you were fortunate enough to get a decent education; I was not. I wrote this and my previous review as a warning to future students. I hoping that the staff at The Chubb Institute (Anthem Institute) see this and make some improvements to their graphic design and animation department.

I understand that some graduates may have had a bad experience at Anthem Institute but I am not one of those people. I graduated from the Computer Networking program at the school and I am not currently employed in my field doing very well. They gave me the necessary tools to start a new career in something that is relevant in today’s society. People can complain about what they didn't get out of the school or what the school didn't do for them but I ask you people this...what did you do for yourselves? Anthem and other vocational schools prepare you for a career in your desired field and give you the necessary tools to begin a NEW job in a NEW industry. People think that just because they went to school from a year that they're going to be making $60,000 right off the bat. Lets be realistic here shall we everyone must realize that beginning a new career you must start at an entry level position, prove yourself and work your way up. Nothing is easy especially in this economy so don't go around pointing fingers at others when you should be pointing the finger at yourself. Complaining never got anyone anywhere. So I leave you with this, education is what you make out of it, some of you will be looking for the easy way out and others will be willing to work and those of you willing to put in the time and effort are the ones who are going to succeed in life...don't forget that.

I had a Great experience,I did my training in the Jersey city campus in the evenings while i worked a dead end job.The lady in admission told me exactly what i was getting (for the most part)we are now in a middle of a resecion and i work full time and i work for myself on the weekend (independent side money) thanks to what I learned at Chubb Institute now Anthem Institute .I think that if you apply yourself you get what you pay for if you do not you will waste your money. I know of a few people who had good experiences and i know people who are not working.my student loan is $68.59 per month.witch i can afford no problem .

I'm taking the Graphic Design & Animations course at the Parsippany campus. About 8 or 10 months ago I thought about "dropping out", but didn't because I'm not a quitter. Big mistake!! I'm almost at the end of this course and sometimes wish that I DID quit. From almost the very beginning of school there have been A LOT of problems. Student ID's need to be re-set, the school gets new computers that aren't any better than the first ones. You still have your class pets, and you can't even ask the instructor a question because they will embarass you in front of everyone. They do treat you like you're a child, and they do seem to think that the school is just like social hour.
One of them had the cops at the school a bunch of times for dumb things that he did while teaching. Even if you complain to someone higher up nothing gets done. It's hard to tell if anyone there knows what they're doing. I don't know anything about the other campuses, but don't go to the Parsippany one. I don't even know what I learned if anything. I think that it's a big waste of money and there are better schools out there. I wish that I went to one of them instead.

Anthem is not a good school at all .. iam still in anthem and 30 students complain and they havent solve anything. No teachers in the school, we only have 1 teacher for graphic design and we dont learn anything he dosent know what is he is talkin about he only reads from the book . when we complain they always have the same answer and it's "We are tying to build the school as before" and i told the manager of the school "what about if i failed" he said we wont let you fail.. i asked again i am saying IF and he answers back "you will not fail" so what that means is that they dont really care about the stduents they just want to get the money from you.
I waste my time writing this because i feel bad for myself and i dont want someone else to be in the same situation. I am at anthem institution in north brunswick .

I am attending the Anthem Institute in Parsippany. Computer networking and Security program is my choice. It is a good program. With only 20K I am exposed to different fields of computer work. With my own extra effort, I can get professional certifications and an IT entry-level job. Compared to the cost of a college degree, 20K of tuition in Anthem is a good deal.
However, the program is not run by professional instructors. Most of the instructors have no passion to teach; they have no lesson plans; they merely baby-sit the students. As exams mandated by the school get close, they plainly read through the chapters of the textbooks covered by the exams. They have no emphasis, no highlight, and no comment in what is important in the real world. If you really want to learn something, you have to read the textbooks yourselves.
As Anthem puts a lot of emphasis in hand-on experience, we spend many hours in labs. Nevertheless, we don’t learn much from the labs because the instructors only gave out what they wanted. No guideline or instruction is given to complete the labs. We try out; we share information with one another; we google in order to finish the labs. Of couse you would say, “You can ask!†Yes, I can ask. But the instructors may not give answers. Perhaps they don’t even know how to do it. A few times I had to ask other instructors passing by.
Mr. John Fernandec is a good sample of this type of instructors. He gives you two pages of lab requirement and expects you to fill up two-weeks of lab time. If you can’t finish it, he harasses you with your final grade. If you finish it, he asks you to sit down and find something to entertain yourselves till 11:00 p.m. More ridiculously, we usually have our final exam at the last second day at the end of a module. After the final exam that takes an hour, we have to sit inside the classroom for another 4 hours with nothing assigned to learn. We can chit-chat; we can watch movie; we can surf the Internet. We just can’t learn anything from him. Even worse, during the last day of the class, we all sit inside one room and foul-play for 5 hours; Mr. Fernandec simply just walks out and finds himself another room to do his own computer work.
In constrast we do have a good instructor in Anthem. He prepares his lessons; he puts emphasis in what is important in the real world. He even acquires extra equipment to give us demos of networking technologies. He hands out labs with pages of clear step-by-step instruction. Even till the last day of a module, he still schedules enough meaningful lab work for students to learn.
If you are thinking of attending Anthem, think twice. You have high probability of bumping into lousy instructors. And without great determination, you won’t learn much about computer with your own diligence.

I loved the Medical Assistant class i took at the Anthem Institute. The teachers were awesome and the lab work we did in class was a lot of fun. Everything we did in class prepared me to feel comfortable when i started to work. The internship they included was great because it gave me great experience to get ready to start my career. Every department at Anthem Institute was extremely helpful while i was in school and with the placement process. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to start a lucrative career in the health care field.
Thank you to the Anthem Institute

I don't know why these other two people seem so disgruntled. They might have been students who were not good with attendance or who did not work as hard as they could throughout the course and after to find work. I was in the design course and my brother was in the networking program and we are now both working in our fields.
The instructors had a lot of knowledge about the industry and were helpful with anything you needed throughout the class. The placement department was very helpful in preparing me with everything I needed to interview for jobs in my field. The people above were people who probably coasted through the course and just expected anthem to hand them a dream job. You need to work hard and work together with the people here to be successful.
I loved the design class and i know my brother enjoyed the networking classes. We are both grateful to the Anthem Institute for helping us get our careers on track in fields we love! I would definitely recommend this school!

Two years and $18,000 - gone. My "instruction" consisted of either a teacher reading verbatim from a book or telling us to "play with" the program so we could get used to the tools. Then we would be assigned a project while the teacher usually sat behind his/her desk and worked on a personal project (probably for paying clients) or checked emails. I had one teacher who watched movies at his desk! When anyone complained to John he did NOTHING about it. Now I'm in debt and still not qualified to work as a graphic designer. Save yourself time and money - DO NOT GO TO ANTHEM INSTITUTE. You'd be better off buying the program and teaching yourself how to use it.

i went to this school in hopes to get my degree and get a job everything they say in the beginning was a BIG LIE. i was suppose to learn and get a degree in graphics.what happened was a lot different. * first of all class hours was 6:30 to 10:30pm but the teachers will let us go 8 or 9 is latest * second all the teachers just read the book and there was no talking about art or showing stuff. Just whatever was in the book. if i want to learn from the book i would have done it sitting at home. * third and the worst was the money they took my 25 THOUSAND dollars and i got nothing in return forget about the job replacements too. no one called to help after grad and when i finally got a job on MY OWN the guy who was suppose find me a job called me to find out who hired me and their names and number YEAH LIKE YOU WORKED SO HARD TO GET ME THAT JOB AND YOU WANT TO BRAG ABOUT THAT NEVER EVER EVER GO TO THAT SCHOOL THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY YOU WILL LEARN NOTHING AND WHEN YOU GET A JOB YOU WILL LOOK LIKE AND IDIOT BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO KNOW EVEN FOR A NEW GRAD BAD SCHOOL BAD TEACHERS AND THEY LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING
