Founded in 1982, Florida Technical College is a private two-year junior college offering accelerated Diploma and Associate Degree programs in Information Technology, Health Care, and Criminal Justice professions.

FTC aims to provide technical training and career placement from industry-qualified instructors and staff while exposing students to contemporary learning styles and modern equipment to be prepared for immediate entry-level career employment.

Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, Florida Technical College offers Financial Aid to qualified students and includes Federal Aid along with the Imagine America scholarship to qualified high school seniors.

    Diploma Programs

    • CADCAD
      Professional training and detailed labs provide enhancement in design and CAD exposure to prepare for entry-level careers.
    • Medical Assistant TechnicianMedical Assistant Technician
      Develop marketable career training in what is considered to be the fastest growing occupation from 2002-2012* through clinical and administrative class work and supervised clinical practice in an externship.

    • Medical Coding and Billing SpecialistMedical Coding and Billing Specialist
      Develop specialized Medical Billing and Coding skills through accelerated clinical and administrative training. Enhance classroom training through health care externship opportunities.

    Associates Degree Programs

    • Computer Drafting and DesignComputer Drafting and Design
      Develop business, general education, and computer science skills while specializing in courses designed for entry-level CAD operators. Graduates typically pursue careers as Architect Interns, Company CAD Trainers, Entry level Draftsperson, Civil Surveying Draftsperson, Mechanical Draftsperson, Interior Design Intern, or Electrical Draftsperson.
    • Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
      Learn theory and applications of court procedures in prosecuting, defending and preparing a criminal case from arrest through pleadings, motion practice and discovery to sentencing, appeal and expungement for a career in Law Enforcement, Police Office Training, Patrol Officer, Corrections, Juvenile Justice Counseling, Casework, Aviation Security, and Probation.
    • Medical Administrative AssistantMedical Administrative Assistant
      Prepare for clerical and administrative positions in the health care field through courses in medical terminology, medical transcription, medical office simulation, and medical coding.

      Develop professional skills to obtain an entry-level health care position through a combination of medical and general education courses to tailor marketability to target practitioners' specialties.
    • Web Site and Graphic DesignWeb Site and Graphic Design
      Develop skills for an entry-level career in the business environment with emphasis on technology-based commerce and customer interfacing through Web Design and Web Programming by learning a combination of computer science, technical and creative coursework, along with general studies.
