Overview
For more than 80 years, Bohecker College has provided an education to students wanting to enter several different career fields. The school offers Associate Degrees in the fields of Accounting, Medical Assisting, Business Administration, and others. An Education in Nursing Degree is also available. Classroom experience and real-world settings are combined for a well-rounded academic experience. Three Ohio locations include Columbus, Cincinnati, and the main campus at Ravenna.

Student Appeal
Bohecker College offers career services for students upon graduation to help smooth the transition into the workforce. Job placement assistance is available for graduates as well as alumni. Career services include instruction on interviewing techniques, writing effective resumes, and job search techniques. The school is also accredited by the Alpha Beta Gamma International Business Honor Society and qualified students are eligible for membership in this society.

Financial
Students at Bohecker College can participate in several programs to help pay for tuition. The staff in the financial aid office provides resources and tools to help students determine aid eligibility.

Programs Offered:

• AccountingAccounting
  Instructors provide students with the resources they need to compete in today's modern business world. The Associate of Applied Business in Accounting Technology has a curriculum that focuses on accounting skills, including banking, insurance, finance and real estate.
• Administrative AssistingAdministrative Assisting
  Students in this program receive business skills and the background needed to work in administrative office positions. The focus of the curriculum differs slightly based on which Administrative Assisting program the students choose – executive, legal or medical.
• Business AdministrationBusiness Administration
  Students in this program receive an Associate of Applied Business upon satisfactory completion of this program. The curriculum provides a foundation for today's business practices and methods. Graduates tend to work in management positions in a variety of fields.
• Criminal JusticeCriminal Justice
  This program's curriculum ranges from local to community issues that deal with loss prevention, ID theft and basic security principles. Other topics covered include court systems and national security. The issues are taught in a way so that they are intermingled with computer and interpersonal skills for today’s society.
• HVACR - Associate of Applied ScienceHVACR - Associate of Applied Science
  Students in this program are given a curriculum based on climate-control systems. Installation, repair and maintenance are the primary topics, but environmental issues are discussed as well. Graduates also have skills for general business and customer service so they can be successful in the related workforce.
• HVACR – DiplomaHVACR – Diploma
  Students receive a comprehensive education about climate-control systems. Installation and repairs are the primary focus. Environmental issues with the industry are also discussed.
• Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
  Students in this program receive instruction and training in both the clinical aspects and administrative aspects of the health care industry. Medical theory and terminology are a main focus, but skills and procedures are explored and taught as well. An externship program is available and graduates can take advantage of the certification opportunities with the National Allied Health Professionals.
• Medical Billing and CodingMedical Billing and Coding
  This accelerated program provides training in insurance billing and other aspects of administration in the medical field. Students receive a strong background in word processing, computer applications and filing, among other vital office duties. Graduates tend to work in hospitals, health centers and insurance companies.
• Medical Business and Clinical SpecialistMedical Business and Clinical Specialist
  Students in this program receive training in both the clinical and administrative aspects of the healthcare profession. Clinical training involves basic medical procedures while the business training involves billing, keeping records and other office skills. Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Business and Clinical Specialist.
• Practical NursingPractical Nursing
  Students wishing to enter the field of Practical Nursing receive the training and education they need with this program. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, collaborating in the nursing process and ethical and legal issues in the nursing industry. Graduates have the option of applying to the Ohio Board of Nursing in order to take the National Council Licensing Examination.
• Registered NursingRegistered Nursing
  This professional training program offers graduates an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing. Focus is placed on principles and applications of biology and the social sciences. Graduates can apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination to become an RN.
• Sales and MarketingSales and Marketing
  Graduates of this program receive an Associate of Applied Business in Sales and Marketing. Students receive a foundation of modern business and selling techniques in a professional setting. Marketing products and services, market research and analysis and organizational behavior are just a few of the in-depth topics covered.
